Yaki
Yaki is the Last Archivist, keeper of forbidden knowledge and guardian of the Archive network during the final days before catastrophe. After receiving a premonition of the coming destruction, he carries the burden of concealing the Obsidian Blade from King Venzo. His decision echoes across the entire Carbon Saga.
The Obsidian Blade
The Obsidian Blade is an ancient weapon of immense power once controlled by King Venzo. The Archivists stole the blade and concealed it within the Archive to keep it beyond his reach. It is powerful but not sentient, and its concealment becomes one of the defining decisions of the Archivist era.
Solar Scripts
A radiant geometric writing system — the knowledge technology of the archive network. Every archive, staff, and seal in the Carbon Saga carries its marks.

Prime 8's
The Prime 8's are a secret OMCS shadow fleet created by Ovas Murphy, also known as Night Monkey. Unknown to the public, the unit operates in all-black uniforms from a concealed headquarters in São Tomé. The name is a wordplay on 'primates.' The fleet handles missions that cannot be connected publicly to Orange Moon Courier Service.
Rift City
Rift City is a vast elevated border metropolis built across dramatic ridges rising between approximately 500 and 3,000 feet. Spanning roughly 20 by 20 miles and divided into 15 districts, the city serves as a major nexus for couriers, immigrants, traders, off-world civilizations, contested jurisdictions, and interplanetary commerce. Its visual identity combines Rift Valley geography with influences from Morocco and a future Atlanta.
Orange Moon Courier Service
Orange Moon Courier Service is an independent interstellar courier company founded by Jedidiah Williams. Operating across contested borders, trade corridors, and alien jurisdictions, OMCS keeps civilizations connected through a strict delivery code that forbids theft. Every delivery is a promise.
